29 August, the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend Major

Dhyanchand is celebrated as ‘National Sports Day’ in India. 

The President of India honoured sports persons who have contributed to

the development of sports through their sports careers.

On this day, various sports competitions are held across the country as

part of the National Sports Day celebrations. This legacy we want to continue and hence to mark the occasion of ‘National Sports Day’

GD Goenka Public School, Indore organized a Basketball match for Girls,

in the category of VI to VIII and IX to XII. Team B got the winning trophy. Our Principal Mr.R.K Singh was the Chief Guest for the Match and with his inspiring words enlightened our students towards the importance of Sports in life.
