Navratri celebration

The prep wing of G.D.Goenka Public School, Indore, organized the Navratri celebration for our little Goenkans. Children were dressed in beautiful and dazzling traditional outfits.

The celebration started by offering prayers to the goddess .All the students and teachers did the ‘aarti’ . Anaya Misra, Angalla Mavi and Aishna Bankey of Grade -2 gave the introduction. This was followed by Garba dance on Gujrati folk songs. All the students from Nursery to Grade -2 took part in Garba actively . Children enjoyed the celebration and were glad to be a part of it. Our little learners watched a small story about ‘ Navratra’, through which they got to know the mythological story behind the festival . Children were briefed through the story that how goddess Durga bless us with nine qualities of power, happiness, humanity, peace, knowledge , devotion, name , fame and health.
