Diwali is the festival of light that symbolizes the spiritual

victory of light over darkness,knowledge over ignorance.The pre primary

wing of G.D Goenka Indore celebrated “Diwali” with devotion and festive

gusto.The assembly hall wore a festive look with decorated pots,diyas

and lanterns.The day started with a special assembly where Aura and Atmika delivered speeches on the significance and importance of celebrating “Diwali”.To mark the occasion children of Kg I ,Kg II and gradeII presented a dance drama based on the story of “Ramayan”The children were dressed in different characters from “Ramayan” and performed with eloquence.Children of grade I sang a lilting song on Diwali. The school also organised diya decoration and lantern making activity for children. Our respected headmistress Mrs Kamakshi Singh addressed the gathering and shared her thoughts on Diwali. Children thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Diwali. It was an enriching experience for them as they got an insight into the traditions and culture of India.
