“Let’s nurture the nature so that we can have a better future”
Every year Earth Day is celebrated on 22 April. To mark this day and pay our tribute to Mother Nature, a “Go Green” initiative was taken by the students of grades 3-5. The class teachers discussed the importance of celebrating Earth Day. They emphasized on the impact each and every one of us can have by just taking small steps in our everyday lives and the fact that working towards saving our earth is the need of the hour. They discussed in detail the theme of this year’s Earth Day, i.e. Planet v/s Plastics, elaborating on ways to reduce plastic consumption and tackle plastic waste, with innovative insights from the students as well. The essential role of planting trees was also discussed and the students were given manure balls containing seeds which they were encouraged to plant at home, thus contributing their bit on this occasion.
