Report on Special Assembly on World Ozone Day: On the 19th of December 1994 UN General Assembly proclaimed 16th September to be the International day for the preservation of the ozone layer commemorating the date when the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer was signed. Grade IA conducted a special assembly on this day. Children presented a dance to enlighten the audience about the importance of the ozone layer and how human activities are contributing to its depletion.

Annayshaa Garvit ,Viraat and Vedant spoke about the ozone layer, Sun’s UV rays and the measures to be taken to protect the Ozone layer. Children from the audience also shared their knowledge on the ozone layer. Through this assembly children learnt that ozone is crucial for life on Earth and we must continue to protect it .
